This course is for students with the ability and commitment to progress further in their performance work. The focus of the course is on acting skills, text and performance as well as career opportunities in the performing arts.
Students will have the opportunity to practise some of the skills fundamental to the art of acting, including vocal and movement skills and characterisation. Scripts and other texts will be used in class, in rehearsal and in performance.
Students will also explore a range of career opportunities available in the performing arts sector, consider the training required and look into career pathways.
This course is for students who have completed Introduction to Drama and Performance Level 1, or have substantial experience of drama and improvisation.
