Clean Break’s two main areas of work – our artistic programme and our London-based education programme – are complemented by a range of additional projects. All of these projects have theatre at the heart of them and directly meet the needs of women affected by the criminal justice system.

Our strong commitment to working with women in custodial settings is met through an active programme of outreach visits, playwriting residencies and theatre education projects in women’s prisons. We extend our reach and share our expertise through our training programmes with artists, criminal justice professionals, students and others. There are also a number of other projects that we are involved in throughout the year including conference presentations and performances by former students.
