Women's Space

A Poem written by Eve, Clean Break student 2006

“Clean Break helped me in a way to find myself again as I was deeply lost. With all the help I got from the tutor and my fellow students I became motivated and started to believe in myself much more. It showed me that I can do it if I tried to the best of my ability. Finally I’ve finished something because for 6 years I always dropped out of the middle of everything. I feel it is the beginning of the path I’ve always wanted to follow and this time nothing and nobody is going to stop me.
You gave me all that. Thank you”

“As a student I am happy with the staff here and with Clean Break. I couldn’t be in a better and more enjoyable place where support is always there if needed. There is always up to date information on the notice board. I strongly strongly recommend Clean Break.”

“I have found Clean Break to be a space for reversing the effects of years of isolation and self-doubt. I feel it has offered me a structure to my week and is slowly helping me back to a ‘normal’ way of functioning. Thanks Clean Break, and all who sail in her.”

The Women’s Space is currently being developed. It will be a space for the women we work with – women offenders and women at risk of offending due to drug or alcohol use or mental health needs. If you have ideas for the space please get in touch with us at general@cleanbreak.org.uk

If you would like to know more about our work please join our mailing list.
