Apache Tears

10 September 2000 – 10 September 2000

Viv, Merle and Sandy have a delicate relationship. Viv, who is descended from Apache Indians, believes the Holy Spirit is a budgie. Merle agonises over lost motherhood. Sandy is a bohemian art teacher who has never been in prison before.

Lin Coghlan wrote Apache Tears after spending three months as a creative writing tutor in Holloway Prison. This production won the Peggy Ramsay award.
