What would you do if, after giving up everything to get where you are, you couldn’t sit in your own skin without being haunted by the people you left behind – including yourself?

In her new play, commissioned by Clean Break, Suhayla El-Bushra traces the edges of an illegal world of failed asylum seekers. One of the most exciting voices in theatre, her previous plays include Pigeons at The Royal Court, Cuckoo at The Unicorn and The Kilburn Passion at The Tricycle. She has written for Hollyoaks and is working on a feature film.
