Meet Our Playwrights: Somebody Jones

Somebody shares the story behind her name, what it's like writing at Clean Break, and her thoughts on this year's Black History Month theme

At Clean Break, our commissioned playwrights are embedded in the fabric of the organisation. That's why we wanted to introduce you to our writers in a new, ongoing video series.

Through spending a significant amount of time at Clean Break, writers build mutually beneficial relationships with Members, staff and volunteers, and enrich our company culture in so many ways.

In these three short videos you'll meet the 'How I Learned to Swim' writer, Somebody Jones. Somebody shares a bit about herself, her experience working with Clean Break, and tells us about two of her favourite Black artists who embody this year's Black History Month theme: Standing Firm in Power and Pride.
