Clean Break is taking part in the Arts for Impact Big Give Challenge, a seven-day online match funding campaign supporting arts and culture charities who create social impact. We are delighted to be taking part for a second year, raising vital funds for Clean Break's life changing work.
From 17 to 24 March 2026, all donations to Clean Break will be doubled. This means your support will go twice as far in helping us continue to deliver transformative creative opportunities for women.
At present, nearly half of women leaving prison are re-convicted within a year, with sentences disrupting lives and pulling families apart. This year, Clean Break is using its Big Give campaign to highlight how creative opportunities can help women break cycles of criminalisation and forge exciting new pathways. Trauma informed, community-based services like Clean Break are essential in helping women to overcome the challenges that can lead to being swept into the criminal justice system.
Through Clean Break’s Members Programme, we provide theatre workshops and 1:1 trauma-informed support sessions, reaching women who have experienced the criminal justice system or are at risk due to challenges such as mental ill health and addiction.

Your support will also help to facilitate workshops with women in prison, at women’s centres, with those on probation and released on temporary license. Clean Break’s creative interventions support community reintegration by building women’s skills and confidence, while providing a sense of purpose and belonging.
