Creative Wellbeing: Movement

Support your wellbeing through movement.

Clean Break Member artist Michelle Hamilton takes us through some of her favourite exercises.

Research shows that moving our bodies, even for a short amount of time each day, can significantly improve our mental and physical wellbeing.

The NHS says "When we're active, the body releases feel-good hormones that can improve our mood and boost our energy. Other benefits of exercise for mental health include: boosting our self-esteem and confidence."

Michelle Hamilton is a fitness instructor and a somatic practitioner, which means she explores how the physical body connects with our emotions. In this interactive video, she shares some of the movements she likes to do to feel grounded in her body and set herself up for the day.
